Patsy Gamble is a professional musician with extensive experience performing live and in the recording studio. She has performed and recorded all over the UK and in France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and in the Middle East with many different artists including Steve Winwood, Mick Jagger, Ruby Turner, Jasper Carrott, Grand Drive, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges, Paddy Milner, Eddie Martin, Keith Thompson, Dolly James and supported artists such as John Mayall, Peter Green, The Gypsy Kings, Gloria Gaynor and Sister Sledge. Patsy also works as a session musician with one of the UK’s top horn sections: The Little Big Horns whose clients have included Yorkshire TV, Channel 4, Chappell Music, Carlton and Bruton Music.
She has now put together a band to perform a mixture of her own original material, which is mainly saxophone led with some vocals, and some covers in a jazz funk, fusion style. ____________________ AFTER SUNSET Patsy plays soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones and after many years of recording on other people's albums she decided it was about time to record one of her own. Patsy started writing music for the album when her mother died in February 2001 and finished, coincidently, when her sister Ros died in February 2004. Getting involved with music has been a way of dealing with the two recent deaths. Patsy's debut album of original material is called 'After Sunset' on which she plays everything herself. This mainly instrumental album contains an interesting mix of jazz, funk, soul and classical influences and is on sale now. CHARITY CHRISTMAS FAYRE 2009
The Patsy Gamble Band is playing this Friday 11th December at a Christmas Fayre in Aid of Charity, at Kestrel Court Business Park, Quedgeley, Glos.
The Christmas Fayre is a festive family event helping to raise funds for Help for Heroes and The Fire Fighters Charity.
Christmas lights get switched on at 6pm, Santa arrives by Horse and Carriage and 7pm and there is a 100 Balloon release at 9pm the event closes at 10pm.We are playing 2 sets between 7.30pm and 10pm.
This is a fantastic evening for all the family so bring your kids, Grannies in fact anyone you can think of! See you there!

Patsy's new CD - SECRET SOUL is available now! This CD is a mixture of Patsy's own original compositions and a few cover versions of songs such as Bill Wither's Ain't No Sunshine, Earth Wind and Fire's, After The Love Has Gone, Junior Walker's Walk In The Night and Barbara Thompson's Secret Soul.
It features musical contributions from Paddy Milner, Keith Thompson, Steve Browning, John Broomhall, Mark Butler and was recorded, mixed and produced in Stroud by Patsy Gamble, John Broomhall and John Acock.

JAZZ BARBEQUE IN AID OF CHARITY
On Saturday 7th June 2008, The Patsy Gamble Band played at a Jazz Barbeque in Aid of Charity. The venue was Rosies Wood a beautiful wood situated behind The George Inn, Cambridge, Glos. There was a Pig Roast, a bar and lots of live jazz from Patsy and her band and support band - The Blighters.
The weather was fantastic and we were all dancing way into the night....!

CHELTENHAM JAZZ FESTIVAL
The Patsy Gamble Band performed at The Cheltenham Jazz Festival on Sunday 4th May at COPA, Regent Street, Cheltenham. The weather was against them as they set up outside under a canopy, but they were very well received by a very appreciative audience. Thanks to all of you who came to support us!

There's a great jazz club opened up in Cheltenham at well known music venue The Wheatsheaf, Old Bath Road.The club is open on the first and third Tuesday of the month hosting a wide variety of jazz bands. Well known local piano maestro - Pete Gill is running the club and creating a fantastic atmosphere with candlelit tables where you can eat and drink listening to the music without having your ears blasted!
The Patsy Gamble Band performed there on Tuesday 18th March and had a fantastic reception! Thanks to all those who attended the gig and hope to see you all again soon!

Patsy and The Little Big Horns are playing with the fabulous Top Catz Band at The Jasper Carrott Rock with Laughter Show at The NEC, Birmingham - 13th - 15th Dec 2007. Patsy performed with The Eddie Martin Band at The Seven Nights Of Blues Festival in Lille, France on 1st February 2007. As well as Eddie and Patsy, and Eddie's regular rhythm section of Marion Dolton on bass and Tim Price on drums, the band also featured Paddy Milner on keys.

Patsy on Tour In Poland Jan '09
Patsy has just completed an 8-day tour (14th - 22nd Jan 2009) of Poland promoting her new CD - SECRET SOUL. The band consisted of Patsy on saxes and vocals, Steve Browning on guitar and vocals, Lukasz Gorczyca on bass and Arek Kus on drums. As well as performing in venues all over the country the band appeared on Polish TV and radio interviews.

GLOS BLUES FESTIVAL
Keith Thompson & Strange Brew featuring Patsy Gamble and the rhythm section from the Climax Blues Band - Roy Adams on drums and Neil Simpson on bass, played to an enthusiastic crowd at Cafe Rene on Monday 28th July 2008 as part of The Gloucester Blues Festival. A very hot and steamy night we were rockin...!

POLISH TOUR
Patsy has just returned from a 2-week tour (10th - 25th Nov 2007) in Poland with Keith Thompson on guitar and a Polish rhythm section of Tomek Dominik on drums and Łukasz Gorczyca on bass, playing in cities and towns across the country. The band was very well received and hope to return in February 2008 for some more gigs.

TOUR POLAND
Patsy & Keith have just returned from a successful tour or Poland. The tour was from the 11th - 22nd January 2007 and the band featured Keith Thompson on guitar and vocals, Patsy on tenor saxophone and vocals, and a polish rhythm section of Lucasz Gorczyca on bass and Filip Wozniak on drums. They played gigs all over Poland including dates in Warsaw and Krakov and the band was very well received - Keith even sold out of CD's!

NEW ALBUM & TOUR
Patsy has just finished recording a new album with Keith Thompson & Strange Brew. This is the first album with the new band line up which includes Patsy on saxophones, John Broomhall on keys and the rhythm section from the Climax Blues Band of Neil Simpson on bass and Roy Adams on drums.
Patsy has just returned from a successful tour of Austria, Germany and Switzerland in February 2006 with the new band.

SLOVENIA
Patsy played with Keith Thompson & Strange Brew at The Postojna International Blues Festival in Slovenia on Saturday 27th May 2006. They were supporting a band some of you older fans may remember! - Ten Years After who were great! Keith and the band went down very well and sold a lot of CD's!
